San Antonio: UNESCO World Heritage Missions Tour

The city of San Antonio, Texas, USA has several Spanish-influenced landmarks and this fully-guided 3.5-hour sightseeing tour is an experience of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the San Antonio Spanish Missions.

Some of the oldest and most beautiful locations of San Antonio include Missions San José, Concepción, San Francisco de Espada and San Juan and they are all included on this half-day tour where you also get to watch birds and wildlife along the new Mission Riverwalk Hike and Bike Trail.

Rose Window is one of the finest examples of baroque architecture in North America and it is also included in the tour as is the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park Visitor Center and more.

The experience includes pick-up and drop-off at the hotels in the San Antonio downtown area, the guided tour of Mission San Jose, Mission Concepción, Mission San Juan and Mission Espada, as well as both live and recorded narrations of the history of San Antonio and the Spanish Missions. Also included is the viewing of the award-winning film “Gente de Razon”.

San Antonio: Tower of Americas, River Walk Cruise & Bus Tour

This experience is a combination of a 1-hour Hop-On, Hop-Off bus tour of San Antonio and a 40-minute city boat cruise on the iconic River Walk and the ticket is valid for 48 hours from the activation of it.

This means that while the bus tour is 1 hour long there is plenty of time to jump off at one of the 19 stops, explore the sites at the stop, jump on and continue the tour again as many times as you like during the time of validity.

This experience also includes a Day Pass to Tower of Americas Observation Deck and 4D Theatre, but entry fees to other sites is not included, nor are food and beverage and gratuities.

San Antonio: Haunted Walking Ghost Tour

San Antonio’s history comes with a hotbed of paranormal phenomena that you never hear about in books. This experience is a 1 to 1.5-hour long walking tour where your professional guide shares countless stories of strange and unpleasant happenings.

The participants will walk through the historic downtown San Antonio to 8-12 different locations in the Old Town area. How many places that are included depends on your choice of either the standard or the extended tour options. The extended tour is 1.5-hour long while the standard tour is 1 hour.

The locations the tour visits are key historic locations and properties located around downtown San Antonio and the Old Town area.

The stories shared are intensely researched true stories of haunted history and includes the tales of the restless souls slain at the Battle of the Alamo.

Texas Hill Country and LBJ Ranch Tour with Hotel Pickup

This tour departs from San Antonio, or Austin, Texas with participants being picked up at their hotel, making sure to be ready 30 minutes beforehand. After the pick-up the tour will travel to the rolling hills of the Texas Hill Country through the stunning surroundings of wineries, lavender fields, as well as peach and pecan orchards. The first stop is in Johnson City and the home where President Lyndon B. Johnson spent his younger years before visiting the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park and the LBJ Ranch that is known as the “Texas White House”. The interior of the house is currently undergoing some repairs so it is closed to the public, however the grounds, including the hangar where LBJ’s plane still lives, and more.

Next stop is the charming historic German town of Fredericksburg with quaint boutique stores and many wine tasting rooms throughout the town. Next up is Luckenback, a tiny Hill Country Town established as a trading post in 1849, which makes it one of the oldest settlements in Texas. This is a place of magic and music. Kick back, relax and enjoy a moment of tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Lastly travel through the Texas vineyards and visit one the area’s award-winning local wineries. Learn about the development of the Texas wine industry and join an optional wine tasting at an additional fee before heading back to the pick-up location in San Antonio, or Austin, for the drop off.

Admission to the LBJ National Historical Park, and the guided tour of the LBJ Ranch when it’s available, is included while any other costs during the tour are not. Food, drinks, wine tasting, admissions to the Nimitz Museum and the National Museum of the Pacific War and gratuities are not.

San Antonio: 2.5-Hour Amazing Scavenger Hunt

Urban Adventure Quest is a fun way to explore San Antonio in your own time using your smartphone to solve clues and complete challenges while learning about the local history of the city.

The interactive scavenger hunt is created from the idea of Amazing Race and participants can race each other to be the first to finish the game or score most points, but they can also choose to take as much time as they need and just have fun together without competing with anyone.

A team may have as many participants as they like, but it’s recommended to be a maximum of 6 persons. Larger groups can divide themselves into smaller groups and compete for the best score or time, although each group needs to purchase a Quest using a unique email address and password.
